Full Public Notice          Project Plans

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The applicant proposes to replace the existing stone revetment within the project limits (408 authorization has been obtained) and replace it with a 205-foot-long steel sheet pile bulkhead; backfilled with concrete and capped with poured concrete.  Approximately 3,860 square feet of waters will be displaced.  The applicant also proposes the construction of two 112-foot-long by 8-foot-wide parallel travel lift piers and the construction of floating pier and gangway (108-foot-long by 5-foot-wide).  The applicant also proposes to remove two concrete dolphins by cutting them at the mudline and dredging a 1.48-acre area to a depth of -10 feet at mean low tide, with up to 2 feet of allowable overdredge.  Approximately 9,350 cubic yards of material will be hydraulically removed to the Corps’ San Jacinto placement site, on Galveston Island.
