Full Public Notice    Project Plans

The applicant is proposing to install a 5-barrel salinity control structure in Deep Bayou.  Three of the barrels would have flap gates and the remaining two would have screw gates for emergency closures but would remain open during normal operation.  Approximately 30 cubic yards of crushed stone or gravel, 30 cubic yards of rock, and 850 cubic yards of dirt would be discharged into 0.12 acre of Deep Bayou to construct the structure.  The applicant originally proposed to place a salinity control structure in Johnsons Bayou.  In response to agency comments received from the original public notice, dated 15 April 2014, the applicant has submitted this revised proposal.
