Mission

   The Public Affairs Office is the most vital communications link between the District and its public. PAO prepares speeches, writes public affairs plans, advises the Commander and staff on community relations, employee affairs and media relations issues, and prepares brochures and materials in support of special campaigns.   

  The Galveston District Public Affairs Office provides guidance on public affairs issues for the Commander and key staff.  PAO is also responsible for the monthly newsletter, The Sand Castle.
