Wallisville Lake Project Now Accepting Applications for Duck Blinds for the 2004 – 2005 Waterfowl Season( view official news release - pdf ) GALVESTON - Duck season may seem like a long way off, but it’s closer than we realize, and the staff at the Corps of Engineers’ Wallisville Lake Project is already working toward the 2004-2005 waterfowl hunting season. The Project will be accepting applications for Duck Blind Permits through June 30, 2004. As in the past, up to 150 permits will be issued through a drawing. Successful applicants will be contacted around July 14, 2004 with directions on how to complete the permit process. Please follow the instructions below to apply for a blind. All applicants must be at least 18 years old. Only one application per person will be accepted. NOTE: If duplicate applications are received, both applications will be discarded. The validity of entries will be based on driver’s license numbers. The information requested below must be PRINTED CLEARLY on a WHITE 3" X 5" card and mailed or hand delivered to the Wallisville Lake Project Visitor Center. Hand delivered applications must arrive no later than the close of business on June 30, 2004. If applications are mailed, they must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2004 and arrive at our post office box no later than July 5, 2004. Applications postmarked later than June 30, 2004 or arriving later than July 5, 2004 will be discarded. Applications mailed or delivered to the Galveston District Office will be discarded.
