Incorporating Additional Water Bodies and Invasive Aquatic Plants into the Aquatic Plant Control Program of Texas, DRAFT Environmental Assessment


 

   The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the proposed inclusion of all 23 river basins within Texas into the Aquatic Plant Control Program (APCP) for the control of 11 invasive aquatic plant species. The DEA documents the affected environment along with any potential impacts and the benefits associated with the APCP.

   A Copy of the draft EA can be downloaded below. Copies are also available from, and comments should be submitted to, Ms. Carolyn Murphy, Chief, Environmental Section (PE-PR), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 2000 Fort Point Road, Galveston, Texas 77553 (carolyn.e.murphy@swg02.usace.army.mil). Comments should be submitted by April 21, 2006.
