Violations & Compliance

Performing work in waters of the United States without authorization by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) or failure to comply with the terms and conditions of a valid permit can have serious repercussions.  Work can include placing fill in waters of the U.S. (including wetlands) and/or work (such as dredging) or construction of a structure in navigable waters.

Compliance is an important part of the Corps Regulatory Program.  The majority of all District actions involving the reported violations are referred from the public.  The Corps can prescribe corrective action, impose fines, and/or prescribe the removal of the offending fill, work or structure.

Provided below is the Reporting Violations Form.  On this form, please provide ALL available information.  We will use the information provided to initiate an investigation.  However, for best results, we ask that you also furnish maps, photographs, and any other pertinent information to the following:
