Public Notice          Project Plans

The applicant proposes to discharge approximately 10,658 cubic yards of rock below the high tide line (HTL), over 1.5 acres of open bay bottom in the installation of four breakwater segments.  Each segment will be approximately 250 feet in length with approximately 230- to 250-foot gaps between each segment.  The breakwaters will be constructed approximately 600 feet offshore from the existing beach and will sit approximately 2-foot above the HTL.  The rock breakwaters will be placed onto a 1-foot-thick marine mattress composed of a geogrid bad/basket filled with stone.
