Public Notice          Project Plans

The applicant proposes to mechanically dredge 12,000 cubic yards (CY) of fill material from 1.90 acres of the Pier 7 Marina basin in the GIWW to a maximum depth of -5.0 feet below mean high water. The applicant then proposes to discharge 42.5 CY of dredged material below MHW to stabilize an eroded shoreline. The remaining dredge material will be placed in uplands. The applicant also proposes work associated with the construction and maintenance of covered and uncovered boat slips and associated access piers, 2 bulkheads, and 2 breakwater structures within an existing marina basin. Proposed slips would range from 10.5 feet by 26 feet to 20 feet by 45 feet and would include associated pilings, mooring structures, and access walkways. The proposed breakwaters include a 60-foot breakwater and a  68-foot breakwater consisting of timber piling and vinyl sheets. The applicant also proposes to install a 492-linear-foot bulkhead and a 523-linear-foot bulkhead along the eastern and western shorelines of the project review area. Project plans are attached in 9 sheets.
