The applicant proposes to extend the time to perform maintenance dredging under their existing DA Permit 08625(06), issued 17 December 2004, for a period of 10 years. The applicant proposes to perform maintenance dredging by either hydraulic or mechanical methods periodically throughout the life of the proposed permit to maintain a depth of 46 feet below mean low tide at the face of the dock and 44 feet below mean low tide within the remainder of the berth.  These depths include overdredge depths and advanced maintenance.  The applicant estimates that approximately 35,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged during an upcoming dredging cycle.  The dredged material is proposed to be placed in the previously authorized placement area to the west of the facility or within Placement Area 11 across the channel from the facility.
