Galveston District celebrates Women’s Equality Day

Anthony during the Women’s Equality Day observance at District Headquarters, Aug. 10, 2023. The “Suffragettes”, women who fought for their right to vote, delivered historical remarks for the audience of dozens who attended in person and online. The ensemble cast shared the story of the Seneca Falls Convention of 1848, the first convention to promote women’s right to vote, and the decades of protesting it took to pass the 19th Amendment in 1920. Dozens of people attended the observance in person and online.
