BACLIFF, Texas (April 19, 2023) Staff Sgt. Alvaro Alzate, front, and Sgt. Antonio Vargas, with the 249th Engineering Battalion, inspect electrical equipment in the Bayside Community Center. The 249th Pre-Installation, Inspections Teams are currently assessing the power and generator capabilities in local government facilities in Galveston County and more than 10 other coastal Texas counties for their capability as emergency centers for FEMA in the event of a natural disaster.
