SUBJECT: Forecast of Dredging and Marine Construction





5845_5657-1_NTN-26_2016-1: Houston Ship Channel, Texas - Sims Bayou to Turning Basin, Harris County, Texas

The pipeline dredge "Beau Caroline" (CJW Construction, Inc.) is dredging the Houston Ship Channel, Sims Bayou to Turning Basin. Currently the dredge is working immediately upstream of the Main Turning Basin. In mid-February the dredge "Caroline Francis" will take over and commence dredging the Light Draft Channel (Buffalo Bayou). Floating, submerged, and land-laid pipelines will extend to West Clinton Placement Area. Estimated completion date: April 22, 2016.

 

5846_NTN-01_2016-01: Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, Freeport to Caney Creek and Colorado River to Upper Matagorda Bay, Pipeline Dredging

“Dredge Perseverance” (Goodloe Marine), is underway dredging in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Freeport to Caney Creek and Colorado River to Upper Matagorda Bay. The Dredge Perseverance is currently stationed near Mile Marker 422 working eastbound. Floating pipeline are assembled for dredge material to be discharged into Confined Placement Area No. 102-C. Estimated completion: July 7, 2016.

5997_5818-2_NTN-28_2016-03: Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, Corpus Christi to Port Isabel, Pipeline Dredging

Dredge “Jason LaQauy” (ORION Marine Group Inc.) is dredging in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at mile marker 632, and will dredge in a northerly direction. Contractor’s related floating plant (barges, tugboats, survey boat, and skiffs) including submerged and floating pipeline will be used in/around this work area, and dredging material will be placed in Open Water Placement Areas along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. Estimated completion: April 8, 2016.

 

» Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.

» Dredging operations are continuous, 24 hrs, 7 days, unless otherwise noted.

» Dredging operations will continue through the month unless otherwise indicated.

» Dredges monitor channel 13 and/or 16 on marine VHF radio, respective dredges should be contacted for coordination of passing and movement near operations.
