Lt. Col. Ian P. O’Sullivan serves as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District’s Deputy Commander for Mega Projects. He assists the district commander in overseeing an area of responsibility spanning the Texas coast from Louisiana to Mexico, encompassing 50,000 square miles, 48 counties, two parishes, and 16 Congressional districts. O’Sullivan is responsible for executing the Galveston District’s mission of providing public engineering services to strengthen security along the Texas coast, energize the local economy, and reduce risks from disasters within the Sabine Pass to Galveston Bay project and the Coastal Texas Protection and Restoration Project.
