Nominees were evaluated with six criteria; completion of tasks within timelines, accuracy and efficiency, self-respect and professionalism which reflects the standards expected of corps employees, commitment and identification with the district and its missions, exemplary representation of the district when working with the public and other offices, evidence of good working relationships and one year of experience in the administrative support field.

Administrative Professional of the Year

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Commander and District Engineer Colonel David Dake holds the Administrative Professional of the Year plaque with Marciala Rudd, winner of the 2026 honor at the Rosenberg Library in Galveston, Texas, April 22, 2026. Marciala earned a reserved parking spot for one year, an on the spot cash award and had her name engraved on the SWG Administrative Professional of the Year plaque which resides in the Executive Office at the Jadwin Building.
