Full Public Notice     Project Plans

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The applicant proposes to extend the time to perform work authorized under Department of the Army Permit 18770(10) and to construct a new dock and an 80-inch-diameter breasting dolphin at the facility.  In addition, the applicant proposes to maintenance-dredge an adjacent area to the dock by hydraulically removing 40,000 cubic yards of sandy clay material from a 0.44-acre area within the facility.  The area will be deepened from a depth of -37 feet mean low lower water (MLLW) to -42 feet MLLW.  The dredged material will be placed in the Pinto-Lion Dredged Material Placement Area.  The purpose of the project is to expand the facility in order to accommodate additional and larger vessels at the facility.
