Full Public Notice    Project Plans

The applicant proposes to remove the two existing vertical plastic and wood groins and construct two new limestone rock groins in their place.  The two proposed groins would extend 75 feet into Aransas Bay from the existing shoreline (annual high tide line) or until a depth of -4 feet mean sea level (MSL) is reached, whichever is shorter.  The base of the groins would be a maximum of 20 feet wide and the crest of the groins would extend approximately 3 to 4 feet above MSL with a top width of 6 feet.
