USACE Galveston District implements ESRI Operation Dashboard to monitor water levels

GALVESTON, Texas (June 1, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District implemented the ESRI Operation Dashboard, a geographic information system (GIS) tool, that allows Corps employees, partners and the community to monitor water levels throughout the district’s area of operation along the Texas coast.

Army Corps of Engineers monitors Addicks and Barker dams and reservoirs

HOUSTON (May 27, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, is closely monitoring the Addicks and Barker dams and reservoirs in West Houston as part of stage one of an extended watch that calls for an increased surveillance of the flood risk management structures.

USACE Galveston District nears completion of levee safety inspections

GALVESTON, Texas (Sep. 10, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District is nearing completion of a comprehensive evaluation of seven federally-constructed levees in Alice, Freeport, Lynchburg, Matagorda, Port Arthur, Texas City and Three Rivers, Texas, as part of the Corps’ Levee Safety Program.
