    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District (SWG), in collaboration with the Texas General Land Office (GLO), the Port of Bay City, and Matagorda County, have announced a contract award for the Mouth of the Colorado River Navigation Channel (MOCR) Maintenance and Sargent Beach Beneficial Use Placement project, December 19, 2025.

  • USACE Galveston District awards $8.9 million contract for Houston - Galveston channel dredging

    GALVESTON, Texas (March 23, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District awarded a contract in the amount of $8,921,000 to Manson Construction Co., for routine maintenance dredging of the Houston-Galveston Entrance Channel and Houston Ship Channel main channel. Contract options in the amount of $4,704,000 are anticipated to be awarded to perform additional maintenance dredging within the Houston-Galveston Entrance Channel and the Galveston Inner Harbor Channel.

  • District awards $8 million contract to dredge Corpus Christi Ship Channel

    GALVESTON, Texas (Dec. 3, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District awarded a contract in the amount of $8,054,750 to Orion Marine Inc., to perform maintenance dredging within the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, specifically from the inner basin (lower bay) to Beacon 82 (upper bay) and the La Quinta Junction and channel, in Nueces County, Texas.
