Brazos River Fort Bend flood risk management feasibility study recommends no federal action

GALVESTON, Texas – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District announced today that it has completed the Brazos River Fort Bend Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study and is recommending that no federal action be taken.

USACE Galveston District awards task order contract for mooring buoy installation and repair at GIWW

GALVESTON, Texas (Feb. 26, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, awarded a task order contract in the amount of $70,047 to J.M. Davidson Inc., for mooring buoy installation and repair work at the Brazos River Floodgates along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) in Freeport, Texas.

Corps continues to monitor rainfall for the Brazos River and San Bernard River flood stages

GALVESTON, Texas (March 21, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District continues to monitor rainfall accumulations for possible changes in flood stages or impacts to Corps facilities including the Brazos River and San Bernard River due to recent heavy rainfall.
