PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant requested an extension of time to complete the authorized work. Department of the Army (DA) Permit No. 21979 was issued on 23 April 2003, and authorized the construction of a six berth container terminal on approximately 400 acres of active, levered dredge material placement area known as Shoal Point, in Texas City, Galveston County, Texas. An EOT was authorized, on 17 March 2008, for DA Permit SWG-2000-00534 (formerly 21979). An EOT was authorized, on 9 April 2014, for DA Permit SWG-2000-00534 (formerly 21979). The EOT will expire on 31 December 2019.
