Comments made in reference to a public notice should include your name, address, phone number and the Department of the Army permit number referenced in the public notice (e.g. SWG-2015-00001).

Full Public Notice    Project Plans

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department proposes to construct an artificial reef, using a large vessel, greater than 200 feet.  All floatable materials will be removed prior to placement.  All tanks, compartments and enclosures will be permanently opened to provide water circulation and cleaned to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards prior to placement.  The approved materials will be placed within the confines of a designated 1,867-foot by 1,867-foot area and clustered around a center point.
