Full Public Notice    Project Plans

 

The POCCA proposes to amend its permit to construct the POCCA Fire Barge project.  The project would involve dredging to -15 MLT, plus 2 feet of advanced maintenance, plus 2 feet allowable overdepth (total -19 feet MLT) on a total area of +/-0.31 acre consisting of +/-0.23 acre below MHW and +/-0.08 acre above MHW (upland).  No fill in waters is proposed.  Dredging would be by mechanical and/or hydraulic methods with dredged material to be placed into POCCA/USACE Rincon No. 1 and/or Herbie Maurer Dredged Material Placement Areas.  Existing riprap from above and below the waterline would be removed.  An approximate 230-linear-foot sheet pile wall would be installed.  Repairs, rehabilitation or replacement of a previously authorized dock and apron, and repair, relocation and/or installation of previously authorized mooring structures, would also be made.
