Full Public Notice    Project Plans

The applicant requests a 10-year extension of time to perform maintenance dredging [previously authorized under DA Permit No. 12262(03)] in Buffalo Bayou.  The project would involve dredging a 16,445-square-foot area (0.378 acre) within in the Vopak Terminal Facility as needed to maintain a depth of -32 feet mean low tide.  An estimated 1,200 cubic yards of material would be removed and placed at one or more of the following Dredge Material Placement Areas (DMPAs): Clinton, Filter Bed, Dorsett, House, Glendale, Rosa Allen, East and West Jones, Greens Bayou, Beltway 8 Tract, and Pinto Lyon.  The purpose of the project is to maintain the previously authorized water depths at the facility.
