Full Public Notice    Project Plans

The applicant proposes to amend an existing beach nourishment permit to include two additional nearshore sand placement areas, designated as PAs 2A and 2B.  Each nearshore placement area would measure approximately 5,300 feet long by 2,500 feet wide and be located in water depths ranging from -20 to -35 feet.  Volumes of sand to be placed within the proposed new PAs would range from 250,000 to 400,000 cubic yards per placement event.  Material would be transported from a previously permitted borrow area (SWG-2007-00127) within the Brazos Santiago Pass to PAs 2A and 2B via hopper dredge.
