Full Public Notice          Project Plan Summary          Prospectus

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The applicant proposes to establish and operate the West Montgomery Mitigation Bank (WMMB), on a 1,160-acre property known as Tranquility Ranch.  This site consists of bottomland hardwood forest and cleared pasture.  The initial phase of the WMMB would encompass 758.54 acres, in the largely forested western portion of the property, adjacent to Lake Creek.  The WMMB is located in the South Central Plains Level III Ecoregion.  The objective of the WMMB is to preserve and enhance wetland functions within the West Fork San Jacinto River watershed, and to provide appropriate compensatory mitigation for unavoidable aquatic resource impacts within the watershed, and adjacent watershed.
