Full Public Notice    Project Plans    Mitigation Plan

The applicant proposes to place fill material into 0.09 acre of wetlands; to excavate 0.07 acre of wetlands, during the construction of a canal subdivision entrance canal and connection to waters of the U.S.  Specifically, the following permanent impacts were authorized:

Fill activities:

•     2,827 square feet (0.07 acre) of smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora)

•     489 square feet (0.01 acre) of high estuarine marsh

•     476 square feet (0.01 acre) of non-tidal estuarine marsh

Excavation activities:

•     1,443 square feet of smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora)

•     1,360 square feet of high estuarine marsh

•     50 square feet of non-tidal estuarine marsh

•     0.87 acre of shallow waters of GIWW

Structures:

•     Canals -

             o 14.58 acres constructed by mechanically excavating approximately 287,000 cubic yards of material out of uplands and

                material placed on uplands

             o minimum width of 110 feet

             o depth within the canals will range from -4 to -7 feet below mean low water (MLW)

•     Piers - T-head are proposed along the lots facing the GIWW

•     Bulkhead - approximately 9,700 linear feet of concrete is proposed to be installed along the interior shoreline

•     Marina - located at the landward end of the subdivision and includes associated boat slips, fishing deck, and boat ramp
