GALVESTON, Texas -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District (SWG), in collaboration with the Gulf Coast Protection District and the Orange County Drainage District, will be holding a public scoping meeting in Orange, Texas, September 17, 2025.
SWG will be seeking public input for the development of the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Sabine Pass to Galveston Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management and Ecosystem Restoration (S2G) Orange County project. The meeting is an early step in the National Environmental Policy Act process to help inform USACE on the potential scope of public concerns they will address in the SEIS.
SWG subject matter experts will also provide attendees with relevant information on the project.
