VENICE, Italy (June 6, 2019)—During the Annual Meeting of the I-STORM Network on June 6-7 2019 in Venice Italy members of the Project Management team for the Coastal Texas Protection and Restoration Feasibility Study at USACE Galveston District tour the MOSE Barrier at Lido Barrier Inlet, a system of mobile gates installed at the lagoon inlets that are able to temporarily isolate the Venetian lagoon from the Adriatic Sea during severe storm surge events, thus ensuring acceptable safeguarding water levels.
