She studied tirelessly after school every Monday through Friday before beginning her career as an administration support assistant.

    USACE Galveston District to host GIWW, Brazos River Floodgates and Colorado River Locks Feasibility Study public scoping meeting

    GALVESTON, Texas (June 29, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District will host an initial public scoping meeting July 12, 2016, from 6–8 p.m. at the West Columbia Civic Center, 516 E. Brazos Avenue (State Highway 35), West Columbia, Texas 77486, to inform the public about the ongoing feasibility study activities for the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) Brazos River Floodgates (BRFG) and Colorado River Locks (CRL) and solicit public input regarding the study.

    GALVESTON, Texas (June 10, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District awarded a contract in the amount of $235,923.81 to SOL Engineering Services LLC, a small business, for environmental services to include the collection and analyses of water and sediment samples from the federally-maintained Matagorda Ship Channel entrance channel.

    GALVESTON, Texas (June 9, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District celebrated the U.S. Army’s and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ 241th birthdays with an awards ceremony to induct a USACE Galveston District retiree into the Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees, Engineer, Regulator, Supervisor, Innovator and STEM Volunteer of the Year as well as to honor staff for their contributions to the community, state and nation.
