    GALVESTON, Texas (Aug. 24, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District will meet with non-federal sponsors, customers and agency partners to collaborate on best practices regarding programs ranging from ecosystem restoration to flood risk management, maintaining and improving Texas coastal navigation systems, and regulatory oversight of U.S. waters during the district’s second Stakeholder Partnering Forum on Aug. 27, 2015, at its headquarters building in Galveston.

    GALVESTON, Texas (July 30, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, awarded a contract in the amount of $6,227,786 to Bertucci Contracting Company LLC, for shoreline stabilization along the Houston Ship Channel’s Mid Bay Placement Area and Placement Area 15 in Chambers County, Texas.

    GALVESTON, Texas (July 23, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District awarded a small business contract in the amount of $1,857,410, to Affolter Contracting Company Inc., for dewatering of the Mid Bay Dredged Material Placement Area in Chambers County, Texas.
  • USACE Galveston District to perform emergency dredging of GIWW at Caney Creek, Brazos River Floodgates

    GALVESTON, Texas (July 17, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, will perform emergency maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) at Caney Creek and the Brazos River Floodgates in Brazoria and Matagorda counties, Texas, beginning July 21, 2015.
