    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District will host a workshop on their regulatory program for all interested parties, September 21, 2023. The event, running from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., will take place at the district’s headquarters located at 2000 Fort Point Road, Galveston, Texas 77550. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m.
  • Kingwood Marina developers request temporary permit suspension

    (May 1, 2019) After receiving 727 public comments, Kingwood Marina developer, Romerica Investments, LLC, asked Corps regulators on April 24, to temporarily suspend an Individual Permit Application (SWG-2016-00384). Romercia’s environmental consultants said in a letter to Corps regulators, they made the request based on the large volume of comments provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on March 28.

    GALVESTON, Texas (Feb. 1, 2013) – After 35 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fred Anthamatten, chief of the USACE Galveston District’s Regulatory Branch, will close his office door for the last time today, trading in the district’s regulatory program for retirement.
