  • USACE Galveston District awards $12.2M contract for Texas City repairs

    GALVESTON, Texas (February 19, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District (USACE Galveston) has awarded a contract in the amount of $12,221,180 to Pontchartrain Partners, LLC., for repair of damage to the Texas City Hurricane Flood Protection Project caused by Hurricane Harvey.

  • USACE Galveston District to switch new outlet control structure at Addicks and Barker dams

    HOUSTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District is set to switch water flow to the new outlet control structures on Feb. 14 at Barker Dam, with Addicks Dam scheduled to switch in March. The new outlet control structures have been under construction since 2015 and will replace the original outlet control structures built in the 1940s
