The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District (SWG) will host a Career Fair at the Moody Gardens Convention Center, Jan. 18, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District (SWG) will host a Career Fair at the Moody Gardens Convention Center, Jan. 18, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Hiring managers from all SWG branches will be present to provide information on the different positions available.

The Galveston District is growing and is currently looking for qualified candidates to join our organization tasked with keeping waterways open for navigation and commerce across the Texas coast and reduce the risks associated with coastal storms, hurricanes, and flooding.

SWG’s workforce of more than 600 employees encompasses a variety of disciplines and professional backgrounds, including: civil engineers; physicists; geospatial specialists; biologists; accountants; project managers; cartographers; real estate specialists; marine mechanics; surveyors; and natural resource specialists.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to joint the Army of be an engineers to join the Army Corps of Engineers. In fact, most of SWG's workforce is made up of civilians.

SWG is one of four districts—including Fort Worth, Little Rock, and Tulsa—that make up USACE’s Southwestern Division, headquartered in Dallas.
