  • Galveston District evaluating permit application SWG-2015-00855

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District Regulatory Program is evaluating a Department of the Army permit application (SWG-2015-00855) submitted by Holtmar Land, LLC, for proposed dredging, bulkhead construction, and installation of three mooring piles at their project site located within, and adjacent to, the San Jacinto River.  This application is being evaluated under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899.

  • Corps to accept duck blind applications May 1-June 30, 2016

    WALLISVILLE, Texas (April 20, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District’s Wallisville Lake Project Office’s Waterfowl Management Program will accept seasonal duck blind applications May 1- June 30, 2016, for the upcoming 2016-17 waterfowl hunting season. Applicants must apply for the duck blind drawing using the Wallisville Lake Waterfowl Management Program website to complete the 2016-17 duck blind drawing application.
  • USACE Galveston District employee named Southwestern Division Regulator of the Year

    GALVESTON, Texas (Aug. 15, 2012) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Project Manager Dwayne Johnson was named the 2012 USACE Southwestern Division Regulator of the Year, marking the fourth consecutive year a Galveston District employee has earned top division honors.
