USACE Galveston District earns 3 Silver Anvils

GALVESTON, Texas (June 5, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District won two prestigious Silver Anvil awards and one Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. The Silver Anvil, which recognizes outstanding achievement in strategic public relations planning and implementation, was presented during the Silver Anvil Awards Ceremony last night in New York City.

GALVESTON, Texas (May 11, 2015) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District will host Corps project managers from around the nation during a Dam Safety Modification Studies Workshop May 12-14, 2015, at the district’s headquarters building in Galveston, Texas.

President's FY16 Budget for USACE Civil Works released

Galveston, Texas (Feb. 5, 2015) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District will receive new feasibility funding for the Houston Ship Channel and Coastal Texas studies; continued funding for the Sabine Pass to Galveston Bay study; construction funding for Addicks and Barker Dams and Greens Bayou in Houston, as well as continued Operation and Maintenance funding for the Texas waterways in the president’s fiscal year 2016 budget for the Corps’ Civil Works program.
