    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District is inviting all affected federal, state, and local agencies, affected Native American Tribes, other interested parties, and the general public to review and comment on the Port of Corpus Christi Authority’s (PCCA) Channel Deepening Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Department of the Army Permit SWG-2019-00067.
  • Galveston District hosting INDUSTRY DAYS for businesses

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, will host our annual Industry Days for small- and medium-sized businesses and government contractors March 22-23, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Titled “All Things Galveston,” this year’s Industry Days event will again be hosted virtually due to ongoing Federal COVID-19 restrictions. The purpose of the two-day event is to present upcoming work, help small- and medium-sized businesses navigate through the contracting process, provide an opportunity for companies to network and meet potential vendors and subcontractors, and maximize interest in the Galveston District’s contracting requirements.
  • GIWW, Brazos River Floodgates, Colorado River Locks Chief's Report Signed

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Galveston District, received a signed Chief of Engineers Report (Chief’s Report) for the proposed Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) Brazos River Floodgates (BRFG) and Colorado River Locks (CRL), Oct. 24, outlining the feasibility study to improve navigation efficiency by selecting a plan that is economically justified and environmentally acceptable to maintain GIWW as a nationally significant waterway system while continuing to provide water and sediment management capability and navigation safety on the GIWW.
  • Wallisville Lake Project small game hunting permits available for 2019

    WALLISVILLE, Texas (Jan 31, 2019) – Small game hunting permits are ready for issue. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District’s Wallisville Lake Project Office staff is now issuing small game hunting permits for the 2019 season as part of the Wildlife Management Program. This is a pilot program to increase public hunting availability at the Wallisville Lake Project.
