San Jacinto emergency dredging: invitation for bids announced

 GALVESTON, Texas (May 18, 2018) Corps officials announced today the advertisement for bid invitations for emergency dredging near the West Fork of the San Jacinto River.

Contracting officers posted the announcement at  Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. The site is used by vendors and contractors to receive notice on government opportunities. 

"This multi-million dollar emergency dredging project funded by FEMA is a competitive contract," said Jeff Neill, Galveston District contracting chief, "Bidders have until 2:00 p.m. local time, May 29, 2018" Neill said bids will be opened, reviewed and the apparent low bidder will be announced.
