    USACE Galveston District’s Employee Spotlight on Terri McFetridge

    GALVESTON, Texas (August 1, 2018) – New to the Corps of Engineers, Teresa (Terri) McFetridge joins the Galveston District as the Budget Officer in the Resources Management Division. Although she has only been with the Corps for a few months, she has been in her career field and with the Federal Government for 30 years.

    Contractors begin initial phase of West Fork of San Jacinto emergency dredging

    Galveston District Corps Officials announced yesterday afternoon an Illinois based contractor will begin initial staging operations for the removal of sediment and debris from the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. Representatives from Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC of Oak Brook, IL, met with Corps’ contracting and project managers for a pre-construction conference. The meeting finalized project requirements for the $69,814,060 dredging and debris removal emergency operation.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today the award of a $69, 814,060.00 FEMA emergency contract to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock for sediment and debris removal resulting from Hurricane Harvey from the West Fork of the San Jacinto River.

    Lowest bidder for emergency dredging of San Jacinto River announced

    GALVESTON, Texas (June 22, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District announced today that RLB Contracting, Inc., was the apparent low bidder in the amount of $33,988,050.00 for emergency dredging of the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. The contract is not officially awarded until a pre-award verification is completed within 10-14 days.
