Col. Christopher Sallese honored with de Fleury Medal

GALVESTON, Texas (July 9, 2013) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division Commander Brig. Gen. Thomas W. Kula presented Col. Christopher W. Sallese with the Silver Order of the de Fleury Medal during his retirement ceremony today at the USACE Galveston District’s Jadwin Building.

USACE Galveston District partners with HSPS to promote safety on the water during 4th of July

GALVESTON, Texas (June 26, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District partnered with the Houston Sail and Power Squadron (a unit of the United States Power Squadrons) to provide recreational boaters with free vessel safety examinations June 29-30 and July 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Trinity River Island Recreation Area (also known as the Wallisville Lake Project Boat Ramp) in Wallisville, Texas.
